
The YPC National Lab is a summer choral program for singers ages 8-18, offering a one-of-a-kind opportunity to sing, learn, and perform at the highest level, in the heart of New York City.
WHAT TO EXPECT

COLLABORATE AND PERFORM:
Sing alongside choristers from the Young People’s Chorus of New York City and choirs from across the country. Attend concerts and perform at iconic NYC venues, including Lincoln Center and the Classical Theatre of Harlem.

LEARN FROM EXPERTS:
Learn from YPC’s world-renowned team of master teachers including Founder/Artistic Director, Francisco J. Núñez—plus Grammy Award-winning artist Chandrika Tandon!

EXPAND YOUR RANGE:
Explore dynamic repertoire from a wide range of traditions, including classical, contemporary, musical theater, folk, gospel and pop. Develop new tools as an artist and performer — all while forming connections that will last a lifetime!

Who should apply?
Choristers ages 8-18 who are passionate about singing, eager to grow musically, and excited to connect with young artists from around the country.
What is the time commitment?
The YPC National Lab runs for four days, from July 9-12, 2025, with a half-day of programming on July 9, and full-day sessions July 10-12. A final performance will be held on Saturday, July 12. Stay tuned for more information and scheduling details!
Is there housing available for participating choristers?
The YPC National Lab is a day program with no housing options for choristers. Families are responsible for securing their chorister’s housing in New York City for the duration of the program. If you would like to discuss the possibility of setting up a home stay with one of the YPC of NYC families, please contact info@ypcnational.org.
